Black, margins all round on entire to Croydon, another cut into to London, 1841 2d. single and strip of three with "132" cancellations on cover to Germany, 1847 embossed 6d. cut square with 1d. on 1856 envelope registered to Bakewell, 1853 entire franked 1d. with red Missent to/Brighton, 1873-80 watermark Garter 4d. sage-green with 2½d. rosy mauve on envelope registered to Italy, 1855 envelope to India franked embossed 6d. and 1/- (both cut-to-shape) and 4d., 1855 envelope to "Western Africa" franked 1855-57 paper deeply blued 4d. strip of three, 1877 "Philatelic Quarterly" advertising ring 1d. envelope additionally franked ½d., 1877 mourning envelope to India franked 1873-80 8d., etc., strikes and condition mixed but a valuable and useful lot worthy of careful inspection
