Great BritainPostal History1866 (17 Sept.) letter headed with "hampstead s.w." written by Rowland Hill, with contents: "Dear Madam. Our common friend Miss Maurice informs me that you have done me the honour to express a desire to possess my photograph, permit me to request you will do me the favour to accept the enclosed. I have the honour to be, Dear Madam, Your most obedt. Servt." and signed Rowland Hill, offered with a very rare photograph of Hill, also the address panel of the envelope, in the hand of Hill and with another signature, in which the letter and photograph were enclosed, is pasted to the reverse of the letter.
