German StatesAlsace and Lorraine1871 (17 March) envelope addressed to Cairo bearing 1870 10c. brown (S.G. type D) two horizontal pairs with "strassburg/alsass" cancellations, manuscript rate markings, black affrancatura/insufficienza", on reverse Wien transit datestamp and arrival markings; small stains carelessly opened resulting in a tear through part of the front of the envelope and one stamp.
