Grey Wilson to his mother in London, upon arrival redirected to Devon and bearing 1d. pairs from different plates cancelled with London E.C. and S.W. duplex (16.3); the enclosed letter (transcript included) with details of the very hot weather, sand flies, the death of Victor Emanuel and "the wretched war after the fall of Pleona", etc. Estimate £ 300-350
