Prince Edward Island Sixth Issue Covers 1873 (20 Jan.) mourning envelope from Charlotte Town to Cardigan, bearing perf 11 3/4 3c. rose with variety stop between "prince edward" paying the inland single letter rate, centrally cancelled by five-pointed Star (Type P130), showing despatch datestamp alongside and, on reverse, "cardigan bridge/p.e.i." arrival c.d.s. (Type P57); the envelope with repaired tear at upper right caused through opening. Few examples of this variety are recorded on cover. Photo Estimate £ 150-200
