Prince Edward Island Third Issue 1867 (Summer) Printing, Off White/Ivory Toned Paper, Perf 11 3/4 Covers 1870 (5 Jan.) envelope from Charlotte Town to Quebec, bearing 2d. rose (2, one bisected diagonally) making up the single letter rate to Canada, both clearly tied by "prince edward island" c.d.s. (Type P8) and showing, on reverse, Montreal (12.1) and arrival (13.1) datestamps; the bisect with small defect at top left apex. Signed Jarrett on reverse. Very rare. R.P.S. Certificate (1999).
