Prince Edward Island Third Issue 1865 (Summer) Printing, White Paper, Perf 11 3/4 Covers 1869 (10 Nov.) envelope from Summerside to Cape Breton, bearing distinctive 3d. bright blue of this printing paying the single letter rate to Nova Scotia, tied by 10 bar oval, showing fine "summerside/p.e. island" datestamp (Type P50) and, on reverse, Prince Edward Island (Type P8), Pictou (13.11), New Glasgow (13.11), West Bay (16.11) and Port Hastings C.B. (16.11) datestamps; the envelope with addressee´s name excised. Photo Estimate £ 250-300 Note: No unused examples of this limited printing have so far been recorded. The printing is said to comprise a total of 120,000 mixed 2d. and 3d. denominations.
