Prince Edward Island Early Letters and Handstamps Mail to Great Britain 1804 (24 Apr.) entire letter from Charlotte Town addressed to "Lieutenant Alex B. Howe, on Board His Majesty´s Ship, Leviathan, Westminster", written by his father, rated "1/10" and showing, on reverse, fine unframed "halifax/may 14" datestamp with faint red arrival c.d.s. alongside; a little soiled and the reverse with wax seal cut away. The contents of the letter advises his son of his marriage to his late wife´s companion and caretaker, Miss Green. A very early outbound letter. Photo Estimate £ 800-1,000 provenance: Dr. R.V.C.
