x Great Britain 1840 Two Pence Blue Plate 1 PA-PF, horizontal strip of six (PE constant variety), good to large margins all round, tied by black Maltese Cross cancellations on entire letter, ex the famous Kennedy correspondence, written from Vienna (7 Oct. 1843) and addressed to New York, endorsed "p steam packet from Liverpool", on reverse red Glasgow datestamp of 17 Oct., Boston arrival and "20 3/4" in circle on the front; PB and PF affected by vertical filing folds, nevertheless a spectacular and extremely rare transatlantic cover.
