Stamp Boxes and Related Items English Silver Boxes 1895 London, novelty stamp box, vesta and sealing wax holder in the form of a golf club by Samuel Jacob, the club head with a hinged lid at top having a sleeve for stamps mounted on the underside, the top of the shaft with a pull out lid to take the sealing wax; fine and extremely rare being one of the rarest and most sought after novelty boxes, this model being rarer still than the stamp box and letter opener golf club previously sold by Spink in the Blue Eyes collection in July 2009.
