Netherlands Indies 1876 (24 April) entire letter ex the Lanman Kemp correspondence, with enclosure, to New York via the Brindisi route, franked 1870-88 10c. horizontal strip of four, 20c. two singles and a pair, 50c. with "4" in lozenge of dots cancellations, "batavia" datestamp, rated 2/5 in red crayon and with "london/a/paid/5 ju 76" transit on the front and red "new york/paid all" arrival on the reverse; vertical filing fold and one 20c. defective, some other slight faults but an extremely rare franking.
