Sierra Leone World War One - 1914-1918 Censor Mail 1917 (27 July) 2d. registered envelope (size F) to Switzerland, uprated with 1914 1/2d. and 2d. tied by "pendembu/sierra leone" c.d.s. (Proud Type D1), showing registration h.s., censor´s blue crayon "20" and, at right, "g. Coat of Arms r./Officially sealed" label on cream paper (Martin & Walton Type 1) handstamped "Passed by Censor" (Type 1B) in black on both sides partly obscuring the 2d. with, on reverse, Freetown and London datestamps; the envelope with the odd minor tone spot.
