Sierra Leone 1896 (30 May) envelope ex the Myerscough correspondence registered from York Island, Sherbro to London, bearing 1884-91 1/2d. dull green pair and 2d. grey (3) each cancelled "B31" and showing a fair strike of the "york island sherbro/sierra leone" c.d.s. alongside, "R" in oval h.s. at right overcancelled with underinked London Registered hooded d.s. (17.6), fine Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (17.6) additionally cancelling one of the 1/2d. values; the envelope a little roughly opened and the 2d. values a little soiled though not unattractive and the sole cover with this datestamp recorded by Philip Beale.
