Northern Nigeria West African Frontier Force 1905 (1 Dec.) envelope (with original contents) from Capt. Wilkin at Amar to his step-brother at London, bearing 1905 1d. tied by poor Lokoja c.d.s. The letter describes steamer trip from Ibi to Amar on the Benue River, shooting crocodiles and the day before seeing "Yergums". (The Yergum people inhabited the province of Wase, between Benue and Bautchi and with the Montols were, and continued for several years to be, a thorn in the side of the Government, murdering, pillaging and eating traders).
