Gold Coast 1888 (31 Aug.) envelope registered from Axim to London and redirected locally, bearing 1884-91 2d. grey and 4d. deep mauve pair both cancelled with "axim" Code C c.d.s. (Type 2), blue "R" in oval h.s. with manuscript "23", Cape Coast Type 2 c.d.s. (4.9), Liverpool Registered oval d.s. (3.10) additionally tying the pair, and Crowned circular-framed "r", the reverse (flap missing) with two different London Registered oval d.s.
