Spitfire, West Coast of Africa", bearing GB 1d Stars (6) tied by "235" duplex and showing, on reverse, large part Liverpool transit c.d.s. (23.2); the envelope with large part of reverse missing and other faults. Photo Estimate £ 200-300 Note: The Muster Book of H.M.S. Spitfire shows Henry J. Martin as 1st Mate. H.M.S. Spitfire was based on Fernando Po. The Ship´s log refers to meeting the Packet Boat off Lagos where we presume this letter was received.
