Comptoir Charles Ley S.A., pair of bearer certificates for 1000 Chinese dollars, Brussels 1923, no.153, and with increased capital 1925, no.263, of only 200 of each issued, ornate borders, blue and yellow, with coupons, about extremely fine (2). The company was headquartered in Peking but administered from Brussels. The original share capital was 200 shares of 1000 dollars each which was doubled in 1925 by a new issue of certificates. As far as we can ascertain this Belgian finance house represented many Belgian businesses trading in China.
