[c. 1590s], crowned rose dividing E R, god save the qvene, rev. two-headed spread eagle (lead) (N.9347-9, 9350a, 9351, 9376; BW. Uncertain 38, 36, 36 var., 37 (2), cf. Mitchiner 4713-37); Germany, Nuremberg, casting counter, Rechenmeister at table, rev. alphabet, 1553; together with a Bremen billon Grote, 1754, and an English Farthing of Charles I, ´Richmond´ type 2, the Hall pieces nearly fine to very fine, the others fair to fine (9) Estimate £ 100-120 William Hall may have been the stationer who flourished in the early 17th century.
