Hong Kong Treaty Ports Canton Incoming Mail - Forwarding Agents 1834-39, a group of entires with 1834 (29 Jan.) Wetmore from Philadelphia "1st via Buenos Ayres", written on the flap, "forwarded pr Griffen by your mo ob sevt. B.F. & Co." (B. Fuller of Philadelphia); the cover has a few splits. Enclosed is a newspaper cutting which includes, "A great sale of Canton silks was made yesterday. The company was very large, and bid with great spirit. The prices obtained were fully equal to those of last fall." 1834 (4 June) to William Wetmore from his aunt on New Haven, sent "per Gaspar" and, on the back flap, "Forwarded by Wetmore Hoppin & Co"; a little soiled. 1836 (19 July) from Heath marked "... forwarded by your friend Messrs Sturges". 1839 (19 Feb.) from Capetown marked "forwarded by Jamieson Wingate Co"; each with usual horizontal fold.
