Literature Postal Atlas of China, Director General of Posts, 1933; with thirty coloured maps (some oversize and folded to fit) with inset maps of major cities such as Nanking, Canton, Tientsin, Shanghai and Peking. The maps show the different class of post office, the different routes with distance between stops and frequency of service, the larger offices are bilingual and there is a bilingual index; this is the first atlas to show the airmail routes. The atlas is in very good antiquarian condition with the original green cloth binding, the title is in gilt on the front board in Roman and Chinese characters; the preface printed in Chinese, English and French. The spine is a little rubbed on both top and bottom but is of no great significance. The hinges of the book are strong and firm. The maps are in good condition with no tears or cuts; the atlas is clean and fresh with no foxing.
