Foreign Post Offices German Post Office 1897 (31 May) The Astor House envelope to Germany bearing Reichspost 20pf. blue tied by German Post Office "shanghai" c.d.s.; then sent through the Japanese Post Office with a light strike of "shanghai/i.j.p.o." c.d.s. (2.6). The reverse with Yokohama transit overstruck by Frankfurt arrival with a second strike alongside. Clean and fine.
