China Liberated Areas North-West China Yili-Tacheng-Artia Area Revenues: A rare and valuable, five frame exhibit which features and outstanding section of the 1945 "BTD" $5 and $10 which includes a $5 sheet of eight (only 4 sheets recorded) very lightly cancelled and used on documents (3) in combination with later issues, $10 first setting complete sheets of eight used (6), these include the "01" for "10" error and used on documents (4), second setting sheets of eight unused (2), scarce, and used plus on documents (2). The revenue taxes were suspended from July 1946 to April 1948 when eleven new values were issued, all are well represented including $5 fighter in red with several panes of eight plus complete double panes of sixteen (2), $10 blue fighter with several panes of eight including unused (2) and complete double panes (4) displaying a wide range of shades and used on documents, $20 industry in red with sheets of nine unused (4) and used (2) showing a range of shades, $50 industry in blue with sheets of six unused and used (14), one on complete document, $100 oil well in red with complete sheets of eight (6) one on complete document, a single example of the rare $400 blacksmith in blue, $500 brown complete sheets of twelve unused (3), $1000 oil well in blue with complete sheets of eight unused and used (7) showing a wide range of shades, one document with $12,800 franking, $10,000 goat hearder in brown with complete sheets of six used (2) and in red with an example on complete document, $25,000 blacksmith in red and blue with complete sheets of eight (5) and an unused single showing shift of blue colour and $50,000 factory with singles (2), pair and block of six. This section of the exhibit includes numerous documents of part documents. The revenue stamps from the Three Districts do turn up from time to time, however, this comprehensive collection represents many years of dedicated research and study.
