China 1913-33 Junk Issue 1914-19 First Peking Print $2 black and blue variety inverted centre, mint with original gum and very lightly hinged; a few blunted perforations at left. Strong colours and one of the ´Four Treasures of the Republic´. Friedl Certificate (1964) and the stamp signed by Bloch; Philatelic Foundation Certificate (2002). S.G. 305a; Chan 245a. Photo Heading: $2 Hall of Classics, Inverted Centre Estimate HK$ 800,000-1,000,000 The variations in the positions of the perforations show that two sheets each of fifty were originally released. However, only thirty-four examples have so far been recorded. This stamp is from the top row [6]; the lowest perforation on the left side just shows the central blue dividing line. This stamp joins the top margin imprint single [7] which belonged in the Diercking, Paul Hock and ´Ming´ collections.
