Great Britain 1850-54 The "Archer" Perforations A piece of plain paper, containing fifty-four stamp size impressions apparently perforated 16 by the "Archer" machine, with a letter on Buckingham Palace note paper, dated 10.IV.74 from John Marriott, then keeper of the Royal Philatelic Collection, stating (in part) ".... Many thanks for sending the Archer perforation trial. I would say there is good evidence that it was perforated by the same comb as the sample in the Royal Collection...", ungummed, stained in places, offered "as is" Estimate £ 100-150
