Canada 1852-56 Handmade Wove Paper, Imperforate 7 1/2d. deep yellow-green with large margins showing part of imprint at top, centrally cancelled by light target obliterator on 1859 (14 Nov.) envelope to Ireland, showing "midleton" despatch c.d.s. alongside, "fort-william/c.e" (20.10) and "paid/liverpool/col packet/4a" (12.11) transit datestamps, both in red, with various other transit datestamps on reverse; the envelope has had some cleaning and the 7 1/2d., originally hinged to the cover, has now been affixed. A rare franking with only 64 covers recorded to all destinations with the 7 1/2d. franking, of which only four are reportedly known to Ireland. B.P.A. Certificate (1975). Photo Estimate £ 3,000-4,000
