Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate Ib QA, double letter Q, good to very large margins all round and showing a portion of the adjoining stamp at foot, tied by a fine ruby Aberdeen Maltese Cross on entire to Edinburgh with boxed Aberdeen datestamp of 6 Oct. 1840 on reverse, vertical filing fold well clear of the adhesive, a lovely sharp impression and with a delicate strike of this scarce cancellation.
