Great Britain Postal History Government Penny Post, 1682-1794 1689 (23 May) entire letter addressed "To the Honble Sr Robt Southwell knt at the Two Talbots the farther end of Germain Street", headed "House of Commons... A Petition of Titus Oates complaining of his hard usage", with, on reverse, a superb strike of the type 2 Westminster Office "post/payd/peny/w/fri" Dockwra (Wilcocks 361b) and with unclear time handstamp; light vertical fold, well clear of the handstamp, fine.
