Great Britain Postal History 1653 (14 Feb.) small, neat, folded letter, addressed "For John Ferrers Esqr. at his house in Walton, neare Burton uppon Trent" and endorsed "Post Payd", an interesting letter from Dudley Carlton to his son-in-law relating to financial negociations with Sir Henry Pickering and Sir Thomas Pickering, the letter with two neat internal repairs, otherwise fine and a rare letter with a postal endorsement from the Commonwealth period.
