x Natal 1858 (31 Mar.) envelope, complete with letter headed "Ekukangeni" with contents of meteorological interest, ex the Maclear correspondence to the Royal Observatory, Cape Town, bearing 1857 (26 May) embossed 6d. green with good to large margins, placed sideways and lightly cancelled with a complete strike of the oval-framed "post office/p.m.burg" handstamp, Cape Town arrival c.d.s. (20.4) on reverse; the stamp with light bend in lower right corner though an exceptionally large example of this stamp.
