Switzerland 1854 (19 May) envelope addressed to Barnet, England franked on reverse 1850 Rayon II unframed Cross 10r. red, black and yellow horizontal strip of four and two singles (one hinged into place), Federal grid cancellations, on the front St Aubin c.d.s and "pp" in circle, blue boxed "pd", red "suisse/pontarlier" (21.5) and arrival (22.5) in the same colour; the strip types 33-36 from the lower-left corner of the sheet with red registration marking below the first stamp, affixed over a seal resulting in some bends and wrinkles, the replaced single not satisfactorily tied owing to the adjoining strip being raised by the seal, margins almost all round and with dividing lines largely complete, some staining and parts of flap missing, nevertheless a very rare strip and an unusual franking.
