1846-D 2.5 Dollars. NGC AU58. Problem-free and quite attractive with attractive apricot patina that clings to many of the devices. No significant abrasions are apparent, but close inspection does yield a long die crack on the reverse that extends from the rim above the E in AMERICA to the eagle´s wing. An infrequent opportunity for the specialist, as the majority of examples with this much detail have been impaired through the years. NGC Population: 10 in AU58, 6 finer (5/08)
