1871 50 Cents. NGC PR65. The detail on the legends and central motifs is crisp and the mirrors are unimpeded. Rich patina overlies the surfaces and when rotated under a light, pale peach and blue coloration presides. Underrated as a series, this particular proof specimen had only 950 coins struck, with only a small handful having survived this nice.
