Egypt Italian Post Offices 1863 (9 June) entire letter to Genoa franked Sardinia 1855-63 10c. bistre, 80c. rose-carmine and Italy 1863 Lithographed 15c. blue (2), all with good to large margins and tied by two clear strikes of the rare boxed "piroscafi/postali/francesi" (Sassone 10) in blue with "alessandria d´egitto/poste italiane" with hours datestamp alongside in the same colour, transit and arrival markings on reverse, fine and rare. One of only two known covers with a mixed franking of Sardinian and Italian adhesives and the only one with the Lithographed issue. Colla Certificate (2009). Photo Estimate € 4,000-6,000
