Royal Bank of Scotland, Error £1, 1. 7. 1964, serial number BS 439717, Ballantyne signature, black on yellow underprint, arms at top centre, allegorical figures at right and left, reverse Bank buildings, design inverted, misplaced and shifted 15mm to the left with part of adjoining note showing at right (a much rarer error than a miscut), and watermark misplaced (Douglas 49-1; Pick 324b), an excessively rare error type, possibly unique, all Scottish errors are much rarer than English ones, good very fine and an exceptional opportunity Estimate £ 240-280
