Six Pence Colour Trials Perforated on Chalk-Surfaced Gummed Unwatermarked Paper The following four lots are made on the selvedge of a British Colonial 1/2d. stamp on chalky paper. They show the green rule long the perforated edge either at top or at foot of the stamp, the other three sides being imperforate Red, pale grey and black pairs, the grey-black with narrow sheet margin and showing small part of ink recipe at right, and deep purple single; one stamp in each of the pairs with a crease.
