The Work of Edmund Dulac The following section offers a delightful group of items designed by Edmund Dulac, book-illustrator and stamp designer France 1944-45 "Marianne" study, comprising an enlarged, partially completed, 25c. pencil and black colour wash essay on board (200x235mm.), 25c. stamp-size photographic essay with a few details handpainted and mounted on card, two enlarged photographs of the completed 25c. design, a set of twenty imperforate proofs together with surface printed revised design 25c. ultramarine, all twenty-one (Maury cat. €12,250) hinged on thin card, and a range of the issued stamps in mint blocks; also two 25c. handpainted essays for an unknown issue and Savings Stamps 25c.
