x Great Britain 1840 One Penny Black Plate X CE state 2 matched pair; black in a greyish shade, good to large margins (just cut into top left corner) with black Maltese Cross; red-brown small to very large margins (irregular scoop very close at right) with a central strike of black Maltese Cross; both stamps clearly show the faint letter E. Also state 1 with touched to large margins and a double strike of black Maltese Cross. Cat. £1900. (3) Estimate £ 150-200
