Victoria Covers and Cancellations A selection of items relating to the 1853 destruction of the Kilmore P.O. by fire with the consequent loss of all contents, comprising a newspaper cutting announcing the fire and subsequent postal arrangements, 1850 third state of dies 1d. dull red pair each showing manuscript "V/10", 1852 Queen on Throne Ham 2d. with original Barred Oval "10" and 1855 (10 Feb.) part O.H.M.S. entire to Melbourne, marked "P O Kilmore" and showing a fine strike of the replacement Barred Oval handstamp.
