x Trinidad 1860 (9 Feb.) double rate entire to Baltimore, bearing 1859 pin-perf. 12 1/2 4d. dull purple (2) in combination with pin-perf. 13 1/2-14 (1d.) carmine-lake (2, one an upper left corner example), all lightly cancelled "1", showing Crowned Circle "paid/at/trinidad", part U.S. "5 cts" c.d.s. and, on reverse, despatch and St. Thomas (14.2) c.d.s.; both (1d.) values crossed by filing creases though a remarkable and almost certainly unique franking.
