x Transvaal Boer War 1899 (8 Sept.) red telegram form from the U.S. Consul in Pretoria to the U.S. Secretary of State in Washington regarding a deadlock on the exchange of information on Boer prisoners, and 1899 (28 Dec.) seven page telegram form, costing £8/10/0, from the Commandant-General´s Dept. of Boer Forces to the Commander of British Forces, stating that in response to the British telegram of 17 December a list of all wounded British prisoners of war is provided, with details of 34 soldiers, their wounds and information on three officers.
