St. Helena The Boer War A selection of picture postcards (24) representing a variety of different views and subjects, some unused, a few used from St. Helena with one unstamped and showing framed "t/-----c" h.s., a few with stamps removed and one (apparently previously unrecorded) showing three small views of "Landing of Cronje", "Cronje en route to Kent Cottage" and "Col. Schiel escorted to High Knoll", bearing 1884-94 1d. and showing faint Type 2 cachet with handstamped initials; Eastern Telegraph printed envelope to "Heyink-Prisoner St. Helena" with an unused postcard of the companies quarters in St. Helena, and a selection of original photographs (16) showing various scenes of camp life.
