New Zealand 1943 (5 July) Pigeongram to Mrs. A Walker of Auckland, bearing 1942 Health 1d.+ 1/2d. pair cancelled with central "army/signals" code "co" c.d.s. with a further strike alongside, the message includes "Messages are being sent to all parts of the North Island" then "the Health Stamps are being cancelled on first day of issue" though obviously referring to the issue of the Pigeongram and not the Health stamps; the stamps with light soiling. A most unusual item with much thematic interest and with no mention of this flight in Stapleton Estimate £ 150-180
