Cyprus Pre-Stamp Mail The Ottoman Administration (from 1572) 1780 (15 Apr.) entire letter from Archbishop Crysanthos of Nicosia, written and addressed in Greek, signed by the Archbishop in red ink and with red wax seal on reverse; an unusual letter as only the Archbishop of Nicosia and the Patriach of Constantinople in the Orthodox Church were afforded the privilege of signing in red ink.
