NORTH BORNEO 1894 (Feb.) High Values Issued Stamps $1 scarlet, a block of ten (2x5) from the left of the sheet, the first two vertical rows perf 14, the third perf 11, some light gum wrinkles otherwise fresh and fine and mounted in the selvedge only. A very rare compound perf multiple. Unlisted in Scott and S.G. Estimate £ 1,000-1,200 Note: These stamps come from a complete sheet which was sold by auction in 1929 on which the first two vertical rows were perf 14 and the remaining vertical rows perf 11. All the horizontal rows were perf 14. There were thus 40 stamps with perforation 14x11.
