1847-54 Embossed Issues 1/- Green Covers 1848 (30 June) entire letter to Massachusetts bearing 1/- pale green (margins just cut into to very large) tied by "635" numeral of Reading with heavy rate mark in brown crayon and faint Boston transit c.d.s.; the reverse bearing neat despatch c.d.s. and faint London transit. Written by the recipient´s sister, a note at the start reads, "This is a dreadfully thick letter to send to America but I feel so stupid and thereby that I could not make it a long one" Estimate £ 250-300
