1854-61 Perforated One Penny Red-Brown 1855 Introduction of Die II Imprimaturs Plate 17, AA in light red-brown on white paper, with corner margins showing the plate number (most) and margin inscription, other margins large; the corner just clipped and a weak impression at left which leaves the plate number barely visible. The watermark is off-centre with the parallel lines running behind the stamp. Fine Estimate £ 1,500-1,800 21 stamps were removed from the imprimatur sheet, AA-AL, IA-IB, JA-JF and TL (Royal collection) provenance: Leonard H. Clark, May 1946
