1841-53 One Penny Red-Brown Imprimaturs Plate 80, AA-AB rejoined pair in red-brown to dark red-brown and showing the plate number and margin inscription; the top margins have been trimmed a little. The stamps exhibit the small, closed A´s of this plate and the colour variation is a result of the blue being absorbed from the ink into the paper of AA and a part of the left side of AB. Fine Estimate £ 1,800-2,200 22 stamps were removed from the imprimatur sheet, AA-AL, BD-BL and TL (Royal collection) provenance: AA; Leonard H. Clark, May 1946
