Carmine-Red Crowned Circle "paid/at/st. georges bermuda" struck on white paper, cut or roughly torn square and showing traces of adjacent strikes at left and at right, cancelled with a single pen stroke and affixed on 1860 (4 July) entire (side flaps removed) to "Jas. Tatem Esq. Hamilton" and showing a light strike of the "st georges bermuda/paid" c.d.s. (P3I) alongside the stamp; the entire with some light soiling at foot, nevertheless exceptionally rare, being one of only five examples of this provisional recorded. S.G.
