Bermuda 1875 "One Penny." Provisionals Owing to a lack of a proper check on quantities of stamps remaining in the Colonial Treasury, exactly one year after the 3d. Provisionals appeared, the stock of the 1d. value was found to be exhausted. A new supply was immediately ordered from England though for a second time it was found necessary to a provisional issue. The printing was once again carried out by the Government printer, Mr. Dee McPhee Lee of the "Royal Gazette". Much of the type employed was worn and many examples of damaged letters are to be found "One Penny." on 1/- green, fresh unused with part original gum. S.G. 17, £500 Estimate £ 250-300
