Niger Coast 1892-98 collection including 1892-94 set, 1893 (Sept.) 1/2d. on half 1d., 1893 (Dec.) "half/penny" Type 3 in violet on 2d., Type 4 in green on 2 1/2d., Type 4 in blue on 2 1/2., Type 5 in vermilion on 2 1/2d., and Type 9 in violet on 2d., 1894 (Jan.) and (May) sets with additional values/shades, 1894 (May-June) " 1/2" on half 1d. pale blue, 1894 (Aug.) 1/2d. on 2 1/2d., and 1897-98 set to 10/- (2); also a group selected for postmarks including G.B. values used on six pieces from Akassa or Burutu, 1892 piece 1892-94 bearing 2 1/2d. and 5d. (3) with two strikes of the "oil rivers protectorate/benin" oval d.s, others with various c.d.s., and 1897 postcard with Warri squared-circle in red; most of the provisionals with faults though of generally good to fine appearance.
